Nature of request
John de Assheford states that he has the King's letters, a transcript of which is attached to this petition, for payment of money borrowed from him by the hands of the collectors of customs in London, and requests payment of this debt, or an allowance in the customs on his own wools.
Nature of endorsement
The Treasurer and Barons etc. are to be ordered to examine his bill obligatory, and further to make payment to him from the custom of London according to the aforesaid letter, or to make him an allowance in the custom on his own wools, as is requested by the petition.
