Nature of request
Raymond del Yle, merchant of Gascony, states that he loaded a ship with wines in Brittany, which was driven into Weymouth by storms, and that Robert Tiel, clerk, William Trente, and Arnold Guilliem de Rue Maiour, collectors of the custom at Weymouth, took 22 tuns of his best wine, allegedly for the King's use, without appraising them or giving satisfaction to him. And when he asked William Trente for payment, he was told that there was no mention of the matter in the rolls. He requests an inquiry into where the wines are, and payment.
Nature of endorsement
He is to have a writ of Chancery to have Robert, clerk, William Trente, and Arnold Guilliem de Rue Maiour, collectors of the custom, come before the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer at Westminster on the morrow of the Ascension, to answer on the contents of the petition.

Tentatively dated to c. 1307, with reference to CFR 1307-19 p.9, which is dated 5 November 1307. This only mentions one of the collectors, however, and the dating may be out by some way.
