Nature of request
John Malewayn states that he and one Simon Beste were enfeoffed in various lands and tenements by William Dokeman, on condition of re-enfeoffing William and Agnes his wife for term of their lives, and of selling the reversion and putting the money thus raised to praying for William's soul; and that after William's death, during Agnes' life, a Richard Colyns wrongly entered these lands, and Simon maliciously and by procurement released and quitclaimed all his right in them to Richard. Richard and Simon are now summoned before the council on 4 March to answer on this matter, and John asks that such a remedy might be provided as to enable the conditions of the enfeoffment to be carried out.
