Nature of request
Letter to Edward II from the community of Kingston upon Hull, stating that, in the King's sixth year, Robert Fitz Ralph of Burton upon Stather (or Robert son of Ralph de Burtonstathre) was robbed at sea between Ravenser Odd and Great Yarmouth by men of the power of the Count of Flanders, and that the King's letters to the Count, asking him to do justice to Robert, have produced no result. They ask the King to do what seems to him to be done, to compensate Robert for his lost goods and his damages.
