William de Wykeham, Bishop of Winchester, requests permission for the Abbot and convent of Osney, the Prioress and convent of Studley, the Provost and fellows of Queen's College, Oxford, the Master and scholars of University College, Oxford, and the Master and brothers of the Hospital of St John in the suburb of Oxford to give him and his successors various lands in Oxford, held of the King, so that he can give them to his foundation of New College, Oxford. And he asks that this may be done without paying a fine or fee.
