[This petition has been damaged.]John de Segrave the son states that a writ has been issued by the Exchequer to distrain his wife to answer for the withdrawal of their service in the Scottish war in the time of the King's father; but that her lands were then in the hand of the present King. He requests a writ to the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer to inform the King if these lands were in his seisin at that time; and if so, that they might be ordered to acquit Juliana of these distraints.
