Nature of request
Thomas Cock states that because an arrest has been adjduged against the people of Flanders, for a trespass they have committed against English people, his goods and merchandise have been arrested for debts that he is said to owe the people of Flanders. He also owes debts to the King, which he cannot pay if he does not have these goods, and so requests letters patent of the great seal to be quit of this arrest and of all others concerning the Flemish, and that his goods might swiftly be restored to him.
