Nature of request
Letter from the Mayor and citizens of London to Edward II, stating that they had written to John de Fyenles on behalf of their fellow-citizen, Adam Hunteman, requesting restitution of or compensation for wool that he took from him in St-Omer, and carried off to Guines; but that John did little or nothing on this, and did not reply to them; nor did letters from the King have any effect. They request a swift and appropriate remedy for Adam, both for his losses and for his expenses and damages, and attest that they have carried out a full inquiry into this.
