Nature of request
Thomas de Bradeston states that he received certain lands and rents in Horsham in Sussex for term of seven years by commission of Chancery, for a certain annual sum, but that William Strug and Robert atte Hurste, fletcher, have sued the King's letters, which they were granted to the Chancellor, to have these lands and tenements out of his hand, to his great dishonour. He requests the King's letters to the Chancellor to allow him to hold these lands and tenements according to his commission.

Formerly enclosed with no.59 of C 81/1336, which is dated 26 June. Tentatively datable to 1342, with reference to CFR 1337-47 p.282, which is dated 15 May 1342, and pp.306-307, which is dated 6 October 1342. This states that the earlier grant to Robert atte Hurste and William Strug, was made on 25 March previously, and that the lands were then granted to Thomas de Bradeston.
