Nature of request
The Minister and brothers of the order of Friars Minor in England state that the King had granted that the convent of Llanfaes in Wales, which had rebelled against him, should be punished bodily within the order. They ask that, as the rebels have scattered and Llanfaes is left desolate, with no-one to perform divine service, they might have permission to re-establish the convent with English and Welsh brothers, to be henceforth under the jurisdiction of the English. They also request a commission to inquire into whose hands the goods and chattels which were carried off from the convent have come, and to have them restored.
