Nature of request
Robert Bully states that he was instituted and inducted to the church of Brinkworth by papal provision, and that the Abbot of Malmesbury presented one John de Badmyngton, kinsman of one of the monks, and, because his presentation failed, falsely claimed to the King that he had the right to present, and had the King present John de Badmyngton, so that Robert is wrongly harassed in the King's court. He requests a remedy.
