- Richard de Cornewaile states that he was presented to the prebend of North Newbald in the diocese of York by the King, and that, after the King's right to presentation was declared firstly after a suit in the King's court and then by a judgment in court Christian against Pandulph de Sabell, he was given possession; but that Pandulph has made false claims to the Pope, and Richard is summoned to Rome to plead the King's right - contrary to the laws of Holy Church and of the land, and against the King's drown and dignity. He requests that a remedy be ordained by the council, as has been done in other similar cases.
