Proctor of Peter Arnold (Peir-Arnaut) de Ville (Bielle), citizen of Bayonne
Nature of request
[This petition is damaged.]The proctor of Peter Arnold de Ville states that the King gave Peter Arnold permission to construct a gorce or fishery, and he built it in the River Adour at Urt, but that William de Salvainhac complained about it, stating that it would be to his prejudice. At Peter Arnold's request, Roger Savage, Lieutenant of the Duke, and Richard de Haveringes were ordered by the King to examine it, but William, again maliciously trying to stop him, [complained to] the Seneschal of Gascony and his lieutenant. Peter Arnold's proctor asks the King to write to the Seneschal of Gascony, asking him to defend Peter Arnold in his possession of this fishery, and not to disturb him in it or allow him to be disturbed in it.
