Henry Canon states that he was sent by Richard Consedieu, master of the ship 'La Marie' of Westminster, to find men in St Osyth to go to Scotland on the King's business, but that Richard de Dalt, Henry Hanekot, and Richard le Heyward, whom he chose, refused to go, but had him falsely indicted before the Sheriff of Essex for a trespass allegedly committed against Richard de Riveres and John de Riveshale, and John de Riveshale continued to sue him while he was in the King's service until he was outlawed. He requests pardon for this outlawry.
