Thomas Paignel states that his ancestors, William de Okhangre and his father, were seised of a wood called the Oakwood in their manor of Oakhanger, from which William de Okhangre was expelled by Alan Plokenet and other keepers of Woolmer Forest, because of the war. He requests a writ to the justices of the Forest to inquire into how William de Okhangre was seised and disseised of this wood, and why and by whom; and that he might have justice and grace according to the form of the inquisition.
