- Gerard Salveyn states that he is in prison for certain trespasses of which he was convicted before Hugh de Louthre and his companions, justices appointed to inquire into, and to hear and determine, trespasses committed by him by colour of his office while he was Sheriff of Yorkshire and Escheator north of the Trent, and that he has a writ to have the record and process of some of these judgments brought before the King so that he can show the errors they contain: and therefore asks that he might be released on mainprise until these errors have been examined.

- Formerly enclosed with CCW 1244-1326 p.436, which is dated 27 February 1316. Gerard Salveyn was Sheriff of Yorkshire between March 1311 and October 1314, and Escheator north of the Trent between May 1308 and December 1309.
