Walter, Archbishop of Canterbury, asks the King to send his writ to the Chancellor and Treasurer, to have brought before the King and council the process of the people of Staplegate, which is within the city of Canterbury and part of the franchise of his church, so that they can examine the process and the judgment brought in the Exchequer, and redress anything they find to have been done contrary to this franchise.
