Nature of request
The Abbot and convent of Faversham make two requests:1) They state that Sheriffs and other ministers of the King's have entered their lands and franchises, to their disinheritance and contrary to their franchise. They request confirmation of their charters, with full return of writs and outfangthief, which have fallen into disuse through the negligence of their bailiffs.2) They request a fair and market at Tring.

This petition was formerly enclosed with CCW 1244-1326 p.417, dated 12 June 1315. No. 109 of C 81/1328 is dated 23 July 9 Edward II (1315). Both CChR 1300-26 p.284 and p.289 are dated 1 September 1315, and they would seem to be in response to this petition.
