A list of damages done to Walkelyn Percombe, chaplain, John Fermour, John Robert, John Parson, John Roble, William Fouchon, William Trewe and John Patte by Thomas Kirkeby.
Nature of endorsement
Be it remembered that on 16 January in the third year of Henry IV, Thomas Kirkeby of the county of Middlesex, defendant, summoned in person before the King in Chancery, submitted and undertook, on pain of £20, to abide for good or ill by the arbitration of Thomas Maydeneston and Walter Bokelond, before the feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary next, concerning all the actions and claims written here, excepting only those touching his free tenement; which £20 he has granted are to be levied from his lands and chattels to the use of the King should he do otherwise.And be it remembered that on the same 16 January, Walkelyn Percombe, chaplain, and the others named here, complainants, likewise appearing in person before the said lord King in Chancery, submitted and undertook, on pain of £20, to abide for good or ill by the same arbitration, concerning all the said actions and demands, with the exception of the aforementioned exceptions; which £20 they have granted are to be levied from their lands and chattels to the use of the King should they do otherwise.
