Nature of request
[This document is partly illegible.]Letter to Edward II from the Mayor and barons of Winchelsea, stating that when Stephen Alard's ship was travelling from Ireland and passing between the Isle of Wight and Dieppe, on the eve of St Giles in the King's sixteenth year, the ship was attacked and it and its contents carried off to Flanders. They request a remedy.
