Nature of request
A letter to the King from the inhabitants of Biarritz, stating that during the war between the King's progenitor and King of France, Vergers, their fellow-citizen, was returning from Spain with a cargo of wheat when Nicholas Petri, bailiff of Bermeo, stole it and carried it off to Bermeo. Petri and the inhabitants of Bermeo have often been asked for compensation, but have done nothing, and letters from the King to the alcaldes and inhabitants of the town asking for justice have produced no effect. They ask the King to ordain some suitable remedy.
Nature of endorsement
