[This petition is damaged.]William Porkley, son and heir of Simon Porkley, states that he should inherit the lordship of Littleton in Middlesex, which is entailed upon him, but that Guy Porkley, his uncle and guardian, has made an exchange of [the manor with] William Bukland, servant of the Duke of Gloucester. He is not powerful enough to pursue his right, and asks the King to order the Chancellor to have the matter examined before him, and to ordain a remedy.

Dated on the guard to '1427 seq.' with reference to mention of 5 Henry VI (1 September 1426-31 August 1427) and to the documents on CCR 1422-9 pp.131-134, all of which are dated January 1424.There are mentions of William Bukland in CPR 1436-41 p.538 (10 February 1441) and CPR 1446-52 p.104 (1 September 1447) in both of which he is of the household of the Duke of Gloucester.
