Beatrice, Prioress of Aconbury, and the convent of Aconbury state that they hold some land and a wood within the bounds of . . . Aconbury in pure and perpetual alms, of the gift of Henry III; but that before they held it in this way, they held it at farm. They are now being distrained for £36 demanded from them by summons of the Exchequer for the arrears of this farm, and request a remedy.
