The petitioners request that the king do right to them with regard to certain manors and other property formerly held by Mary de St Pol, Countess of Pembroke.[Despite the damage to the petition, it describes in detail the background to, and the events surrounding, the succession to various parcels of the earldom of Pembroke following the deaths of John de Hastings, his under-age son, and the late countess, and refers to the petitioners' involvement and their rights to certain lands].
