Nature of request
Much of this petition is lost, but it would seem request assistance relating to the killing of Maud, wife of Robert Kirkby, seemingly by Colvell. The petition appears to suggest that Colvell was banished and his goods forfeited, and perhaps that the petitioners had a claim upon these, but the sense is difficult to reconstruct from the surviving text.
