Margery Facyes states that she, John Elmeshale and John Elmeshale the younger were enfeoffed with certain property in Stepney by Prophete, but that she has now been ousted by William Elmeshale. She requests that she be restored to the property, and that goods taken from her when she was ousted be returned.
Nature of endorsement
The council agree that William Elmeshale be summoned before them to show all his charters and other evidence regarding this case, and to abide by their decision.By the council, 26 February in the king's first year, being Chancellor, Treasurer, Keeper of the Privy Seal, John Prophete, John Doreward, Thomas Coggeshale.

The endorsement is clearly dated 26 February in the first year of the reign, while the names of the councillors would indicate the reign of Henry IV, as noted on the guard. The John Prophete who made the original grant is presumably also the councillor of that name noted on the dorse.
