- The petitioner requests letters of safe conduct for Preto, his ship and crew, and the wine which he has bought from a Harfleur burgess. He has been forced to hire French and Breton sailors as he was unable to find Portuguese sailors, and earlier agreements have been broken, to his great loss. He hopes that these letters will allow him to recover some of those losses.
