Constance, widow of Thomas, Lord Despenser, requests to be restored to the common law so that she may sue for the recovery of her lands in dower from her late husband, notwithstanding the forfeiture adjudged against him, and the fact that she is not dowable from this property on account of that forfeiture.
Nature of endorsement
The king has granted that she should be restored to the common law, to have, sue for and recover her dower from the lordships etc. held by Thomas, both of the king and others, notwithstanding any earlier forfeiture or ordinance against Thomas, and also notwithstanding that she is not dowable from any lordships, etc. held by Thomas due to his forfeiture.
