Nature of request
John Banham requests that, on account of his long service to the king and his father, he be granted letters patent in the form given, granting him 100s 4d yearly from the issues of the subsidy and ulnage of cloth in Northamptonshire and Rutland, and half the forfeitures. A similar grant of 26 October 1444 had been cancelled by an act made in the Westminster parliament of November 1449.
