Nature of request
The proctors of Saint Sever make three requests.1) They ask that the new constable of Bordeaux be ordered to pay the people of the town the £3000 granted to them by the king's grandfather.2) They ask that the seneschal of Gascony be ordered to protect the possessions of the people of Saint Sever in Malo Corde and Sonas from the vicomte de Tartas, and make restitution for damages done by him and the lord of Labrit3) They ask that Montausier account with them regarding sums owed to them from a loan made to Edward I during the war which the king of France's brother Charles fought against them, besieging their town. Assignments had been made from the customs of Southampton and Ipswich, but full repayment had not been received.

Note
An order to protect the people of Saint Sever against the vicomte de Tartas was issued on 25 August 1329, presumably in response to the second part of this petition. Much of the petition refers back to events occurring during the time of Edward I.A note on the guard indicates that the larger part of this membrane was restored to the detached upper portion from unsorted Chancery miscellanea on 10 July 1923.
