- William Inge was knighted in 1300, retired in 1317 and died in 1322, and while the fact that he is not specified as being dead is not necessarily significant, the petition is nevertheless likely to date either to his period of office or the years immediately after his retirement, and clearly before Bereford's death in 1326.
