William de Echyngham requests the restoration to him of the manor of Hempstede and its appurtenances in Kent, alienated by his father to Robert Bealknap. The lands have been taken into the king's hands following Bealknap's forfeiture, and he claims them as his father's heir.

Let this bill be delivered to the chancellor, and the supplicant should sue according to the common law.
