The Abbot and convent of Colchester request that the chancellor be ordered to summon before him the bailiffs and commons of Colchester to answer various charges. They claim that they have made attacks on the abbey's people and property in response to the abbey's pursuit of a case against them in the Exchequer for payment of an annuity of 20s.
