Arnold Savage requests that, following his appointment as one of the king's councillors, he be granted an annuity of 25 marks from the petty customs of the port of London, in addition to an earlier grant of £50 made to him by Richard II.
Nature of endorsement
On 4 June 4 [Henry IV], this petition was granted by the king and his council, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Chancellor, Treasurer, the Bishop of Rochester, Lords Roos, Willoughby, Lovell, Keeper of the Privy Seal, T. Erpingham, H. Waterton, J. Cheyne, A. Savage and J. Norbury, and the king commands the chancellor to draw up letters patent under the great seal in the due form.
