Note (Additional information about the record)
- Beaumont is named as castellan of Mauleon in another unconnected petition and the resultant warrant in August 1408 (C 81/641/5862-3), but that shows that he had held this office since the time of Richard II. It has therefore been dated to the period c.1380-c.1420 on the basis of this and the handwriting.
