The burgesses of New Windsor request that they be granted pontage for seven years at the rates specified, as was once granted by the king's grandfather, to maintain the bridge over the Thames.
Nature of endorsement
On 24 May in the fourth year (1381) it was agreed by the Chancellor, Treasurer and the Keeper of the Privy Seal that the supplicants may have a grant for three years in the terms requested.
