This is almost certainly the petition which prompted the chancery warrant at C 81/686/1606 and the grant enrolled on the close roll, dated 28 June 1426. The text of the grant does include a number of extra details not given in the petition, such as that the grant in Berwick was made in exchange for an earlier grant in Roxburgh, which might suggest that it relates to another petition on the same matter. However, the present petition is damaged, and those details may simply have been lost.
