Nature of request
Thomas Cothom, who holds the prebend of the late John Kyngeston in the church of St Cuthbert at Darlington, states that, due to a royal collation to Dalton, who has no right to it, he has been disturbed in his possession and sued. He requests that the chancellor be ordered to summon Dalton to show his title, and unless he shows that the king has the right to present, that he revoke the grant and allow Cothom to pursue recovery.
