Nature of request
Thomas de Evesham requests that the king order the justices of the bench to examine the record of a process conducted before Bealknap and his fellows, by which he was ejected from his church at Teynham. He states that the original writ contained errors, and that the judgment should be annulled and he should be restored to his church, to which he was properly and rightfully presented.

Note
The chancery warrant with which this petition was formerly enclosed was dated at Westminster on 30 June 1389. An order to arrest all people impugning the king's right to present to North Stoneham, and the rights of Chaworth as parson, had been issued on 28 July 1387, following the recovery of the church from Evesham and the master of Ospringe by the king, as recounted in the petition.
