Nature of request
The Prior of Durham makes two requests.1) He requests remedy regarding damages awarded before Ormesby and Gildeford while the bishopric of Durham was in the king's hands, which the Bishop's officials are now unwilling to levy.2) He requests remedy regarding the recovery of beasts and other goods of his house, which were removed by Henry de Lusceby, who intruded as prior, and are held at Norham Castle. He has sued to recover them before the sheriff, but was told that the king's officials cannot enter without special warrant.
