Nature of request
The burgesses of Bala show that of the £14 13s 3d charged yearly for their fee farm, only £3 6d is due from their lands, the rest being raised from various customs and levies. The king has lately pardoned such levies within Merioneth, and therefore they request that either they be allowed to continue levying such customs as before, or that the residue of their fee farm be pardoned.
