Nature of request
Henry Stratford requests the extension of letters of safe conduct according to the tenor of the attached letters, regarding certain Spanish merchants, trade with Spain and Portugal, and the payment of customs in London. Unfortunately the precise tenor of the petition is difficult to recover, as the right side of the document is damaged, stained and largely illegible.
Nature of endorsement
On 14 June 6 [Henry VI] at Westminster it was agreed to renew the letters of safe conduct in the form given, by lords Gloucester, York, Canterbury, London, Ely, Bath, Huntingdon, Warwick, Salisbury, Scrope, Cromwell, Tiptoft, Hungerford, the Treasurer and the Keeper of the Privy Seal.
