Nature of request
Richard de la Felde, the king's almoner, requests that the king summon the parties before the council and do right in his case against the abbot and monks of Thame regarding their disturbance of his rights as prebendary of Thame. He claims that the abbot has ignored agreements and orders on the matter and has takes the profits of the prebend, while Milton and Mussenden, two monks of Thame, have dressed as lay men and attacked Dymmok, his official, at Albury on 29 April 1392.

The attack on Dymmok occurred on 29 April 1392, and presumably the petition was presented at some point shortly thereafter. Felde was appointed to the prebend of Thame in February 1390, while orders to the constable of Rochester castle to receive Midelton and Mussenden were issued on 19 May 1393, presumably following their detention in connection with this case.
