Note (Additional information about the record)
- Dated on the guard to c.1332, with reference to the inquisition into Sutton's complaints held in that year. However, this petition clearly refers to decisions taken by the king's father, and since the inquisition clearly shows that these things occurred during the reign of Edward I, the petition would thus appear to date to the reign of Edward II.
