Note
Dated in the dating clause to 26 January, 12 Edward [II] (1319). The petition clearly relates to a string of accusations against the men mentioned and others, mainly with regard to breaches of laws on the sale of fish and other goods, at least some of which are enrolled on the patent roll. The note on the guard dating the petition to the reign of Edward I is evidently mistaken.
