- The people of Southampton request permission that, since they live by their ships and their trading, they may go with their ships to Gascony to find wines to bring to England and nowhere else, notwithstanding the prohibition made by the king that no kind of goods be taken outside this kingdom, on finding such surety as the said king and his council should wish to ordain.
