Nature of request
Hervey de Stanton requests permission to enfeoff Matthew de Stanton of ten librates of land in Suffolk, held in chief of the abbot of Bury St Edmunds, so that Matthew may re-enfeoff Hervey of these lands for the term of his life with remainder to the abbot and convent of Bury St Edmunds. An inquisition, returned to the chancery, has found that this is not to the prejudice of the king or anyone else.
