Name(s)
de Uphatherle (Up Hatherley), Alisot
Addressees

Nature of request
Alisot de Uphatherle requests remedy for her husband, stating that while he was in prison after the battle of Stirling, Thomas and Robert entered his lands and stole his goods. When he returned and took back his estates, they raised the hue and cry against him for robbery and sued writs against him, and when he was acquitted, they then assaulted him at Gloucester, almost killing him. After he recovered, they forced him to hand over the property in exchange for an annuity, but when Prestbury came back with the Queen from France, he again took Henry, imprisoned him at Gloucester, and forced him to re-pay the annuity, and enter into bonds.

If the husband lives the plea is sound; if he is dead the plea of his wife is null.
