Note (Additional information about the record)
- Dated solely from the handwriting to the last quarter of the thirteenth century. 'Langethon' is presumably a variant of Langton, and given the reference to the sheriff of Leicestershire is probably either Church Langton or one of its chapelries. However, no firm identification has been possible.
