- The Prior and convent of the London Charterhouse state that the king granted the church of Melchbourne to the Priory of Clerkenwell on condition that they grant four acres of land adjoining the Charterhouse to the Prior and convent of Chartreuse. They therefore request a licence for this land to be granted to them, and also a licence to Chartreuse to grant a further acre of land to Clerkenwell.
